Chanel’s 23K campaign, focused on translating the brand’s iconic Camellia motif into large-scale sculptures. A careful material research phase evaluated multiple production methods to balance aesthetic fidelity with structural viability. Options included Papier-mâché for its lightweight properties , Milled MDF for its solid volume , and Powder-coated Aluminium formed via positive/negative molds for a premium, thin-profile finish. The final decision was to use 3D printing, selected for its combination of lightweight properties and solid volume. Detailed technical guidelines were subsequently developed to integrate variations of the Camellia into diverse boutique architectures, resolving complex spatial constraints to ensure a consistent, high-impact visual presentation across all locations.
