Technical execution for Chanel’s End of Year campaign centered on a complex material challenge: translating the brand’s iconic Tweed fabric into a large-scale, illuminated architectural element. The development process required layering techniques, starting with hand-painted silver lines on black fabric, followed by a precise "1 over 2" weaving of custom threads and ribbons to build authentic texture. A major challenge was integrating thousands of optical fibers into pre-drilled panels to create a dynamic "constellation" effect without compromising the textile aesthetic. The final execution relied on detailed specifications for this multi-layered assembly, coordinating the exact placement of black velvet, champagne lurex, and silver sequin ribbons with hand-applied glitter to structurally replicate the depth and shimmer of the original fabric.
