Media Worlds - 75 Years of Radio Bremen
Temporary Exhibition
Focke Museum Bremen
September 2020
The exhibition design for Radio Bremen at the Focke Museum transforms media history into a multisensory spatial experience. The design connects three main areas—the interactive Lobby, the exploratory Studio, and the immersive Mediathek—through a clear narrative and visual identity. Each space embodies a distinct atmosphere: the Lobby as a participatory park of opinions, the Studio as a colorful media workshop with polygonal structures, and the Mediathek as a darkened, contemplative environment of projection and sound. Reused museum elements such as light boxes, transparent panels, and modular furniture are reinterpreted with contemporary materials like cardboard, felt, and strapping belts. The result is a playful, critical, and inclusive design that invites visitors to experience and question public broadcasting through active engagement.
